Hi! I'm Ray Reyes, a Hudson Valley-based event and portrait photographer. My love for the craft began when I took a digital photography course in college and learned about the artistic value of a photograph. It was then that I discovered that great photographs aren't simply taken but instead, created. I use a combination of natural and artificial lighting to create dynamic images with a unique look. Lighting is my specialty and I strive to deliver images that POP!

Let's face it. Most people don't think they need to hire a professional photographer because the average smartphone can take pretty good photos. However, when you book with me, you're paying for my years of experience and the use of professional equipment to deliver images you just can't get from your phone. In case you're still undecided or have further questions, I've put together a list of some frequently asked questions for your convenience.
Q. What is your style?
A. Whether you need professional headshots, full body portraits, or event photography coverage, my knowledge and use of lighting help create images that are genuinely BRIGHT, BOLD & BEAUTIFUL!
Q. Do you charge for consultations?
A. I take time to plan and discuss your photography needs before booking to ensure that I have enough information to bring your vision to life. Consultations take place before booking a session.
Q. Do you deliver unedited images?
A. All images are professionally retouched before being added to a client's gallery. Unedited or RAW images are not delivered as those would be considered unfinished products. Think of it as a baker selling you a cake with no frosting...BORING!
Q. What is your editing style?
A. My goal is to make you look your best. While I don't distort images to change a person's features, I do try to clean up the skin, whiten teeth, enhance colors, etc. Check out the before and after below to see what I mean.
Q. Why should I book with you?
A. It's simple. I Provide a combination of personality, professionalism, consistency, and delivery at prices that make sense.
Q. What is your usual turnaround time?
A. Standard headshot and portrait session images are edited and delivered within 7 business days and are available via a password-protected online gallery. Expedited delivery is also available upon request.
